ASK Centre will place
special emphasis on resources which are relevant
to AZAM and SDI's focus areas as follows:-
AZAM: Development Communication,
Community Development (JKKK), Social Development,
Education and Youth Development, Civic Education,
Local Governance and Media Affairs
SDI: Social Development &
Urbanisation, Economics & Industrial Development,
Rural & Land Development, ICT Development,
Human Resource Planning, Resource and Agro-Based
Industries, Environmental Management, Tourism
& Cultural Development and Financial Management.
These resources will be in the form of books,
journals, magazines, newsletters, articles,
reports, seminar/workshop proceedings, research
findings, newspaper cuttings, bibliographies,
indexes and photographs.
Selected
materials will also be made available in online
databases, CD-ROMs, video-cassettes, and other
non-print resources.
However,
the bulk of these resources will cover collections
which are related to the focus areas and programmes
of AZAM and SDI.
