On 16 May 2024, we held a briefing for volunteers of the Sarawak Media Conference (SMeC) 2024. A total of 40 AYS members attended the meeting. The SMeC 2024 will take place on May 26 and 27, 2024, in Kuching.

This is the first time such a program is being held in Kuching, aimed at gathering journalists at the national and international levels.

It is being held in conjunction with Hari Wartawan Nasional (HAWANA) 2024, bringing together journalists from Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, Indonesia, Singapore, and Brunei.

The event will be held in Kuching from May 25 to 28, 2024.
